I think you are making us learn about this because it is important to know what happens in other states/countries. It will also help us if we want to take the organization to a new level when we're older
ReplyDeleteI agree with your opinion on why he is making us do this. I do too believe that he wants us to know about the rights we have and what others have in other countries. But, have you ever though why we have these rights?

ReplyDeleteI think learning about children's rights is a reasonable topic because as a child myself, I feel extremely fortunate with my upbringing. I have options and opportunities that will help me become successful later on but other kids my age don't have this available to them. They didn't choose to be born so it's not their fault that they live that way. Their future shouldn't be determined by their household. By learning about these problems, I think people even as young as I could try and do something to try to help those children. With our help, they could see a brighter future by receiving essentials from food and water to education and a safe home that might have previously been kept away from them.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your comment. It's good to learn about children's rights because sometimes fortunate kids aren't appreciative of the rights they have that are respected.

ReplyDeleteI actually don't think that children in our state have experienced stuff like this because I think we have a pretty healthy environment, yes there are struggling families and the kids may not get the best life but that's why children's rights is a really important topic.
ReplyDeleteHow do the children show resilience in some of these photos? In other words, how are they trying to overcome a bad situation? For an example, the boy playing in the polluted river. He looks happy for a person who probably lives in filth. The child playing on a "swing" under the bridge has turned one of the many pieces of garbage close to her into something fun. The children playing in the fumes have also shown resilience by looking much happier then you would expect of someone living in those conditions.
ReplyDeleteDo you think there are children in your own country or state that may be experiencing something similar? Although I have not seen anyone living like this it is possible. With thousands of homeless people in Iowa alone there's a pretty big chance. I would hope that no one here would be living in extreme poverty.
Do I think there are people in the U.S having the same problems? Yes i do because there are a lot of homeless people in the U.S. I have never seen one for myself living how these kids are living but I do very well think that there are people going threw the same thing.
ReplyDeleteWhat childrens rights do I think are not being met? I think the right that children should have a house in a good neighborhood to live in. Also these children should go to school and get an education.
I agree with your comment. In the U.S poverty is sometimes hidden. For example in some place it is illegal to be homeless.
